-2 Corinthians 12:9
One day I had come to a revelation when I was given a phrase that had simply popped into my mind whether it was given to me by the Holy Spirit I don't know but it is profound. It expressed my humility, my imperfection as a sinner, and God's ability to love us despite these imperfections all while allowing the acceptance of the gravity of God's grace and mercy.. The phrase really defined the gravity of the above verse for me. God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. Here is the phrase that popped into my head:
"Though I am weak in the Lord, the Lord is strong in me."
As I reflected on this phrase, humbling myself before the Lord, I was lifted up and brought to tears as I felt the gravity of His love and grace. It really helps put into perspective God's strength made perfect in our weakness and reflects His mercy.
I invite you to contemplate this phrase and meditate on 2 Corinthians 12:9. You may be moved to tears as I was while I verbally repeated it to myself over and over. It truly is a profound epiphany to experience, like a divine light bulb that turns on shining light on your soul.
For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation - Psalms 149:4
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God - Micah 6:8
